Filomena Tassi practised Law for six years, including having her own firm with husband Jim Oliver.
She has now been serving as Chaplain in High Schools for 10 years. She understands teenagers and has helped many of them transform their lives.
She is a Teacher of Ethics for O.E.C.T.A at Brock University.
She is a Published Author of '500 Prayers' (Twenty Third Publications) and Co-Author of 'Opening The Door, Unleashing the Greatness in Our Teens'
D.R.E.A.M.S.
Filomena is a Co-Founder of D.R.E.A.M.S. This non profit organization takes twenty students twice a year to live with the poor and work in the missions in The Dominican Republic for Fr. Lou Quinn. They build houses, schools and aqua ducts, and lay water lines and much more. The students return home transformed by their experiences. They then undertake fund raising, and have sent over $150,000 to the missions for the building of schools and homes. This program, designed by Paul Morrison and Filomena, has now spread to other schools and universities.
Filomena Served on Various Boards Including:
Trustee on the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board.
St. Joseph's Hospital.
Catholic Youth Organization
Recipient of Philosophy Award (1983).
Attained Highest Academic Standing in Graduating Class MRE Program (2004)
Wife and mother of two children
