The Act ends with a scene of disillusioned women, who had come to Pio for miracles, but who were unable to receive the sought-after miracles because Pio had been sent to live a life of seclusion by his own Church.
Act Two and Act Three resolve the love story between Giovanni and Frances. Pio is finally recognized by his Church, and becomes loved by millions of people. At the end, his dream of a constructing a special hospital is fulfilled, through the brilliant work of Frances, and by others who loved him.
