A once famous, and now out of work, aging actress, is tormented by her past. She battles with mental illness, as she awaits 'the call' that will get her the part she needs.

Former major movie star, Alice Evans, now older and out of work, looks to make her comeback by starring in a new film.

We witness her disturbance as she waits for the phone call from the producer that will return her to the spotlight. We discover her glamorous past but also the abysmal state of her current everyday life.

As we view her daily struggles, we also follow the journey of a despairing screenwriter.

These two distinct excursions through strenuous lives collide in a unique and astonishing way.
